About the Artist:
Self-described as wise, patient and classic, Jim has many interests and talents that extend beyond his unique and engaging paintings.

Jim finds his inspiration for his work, through his love of nature, community and humanity.

Artist's Statement:
The daily routines of life provide the connection that inspires Jim's work.

Painting since his late teens, Jim at 31 has matured into a passionate artist who sees beauty in the ordinary. For this reason Jim's art displays a distinct quality.

I make relief prints on Styrofoam because I can somewhat feel the lines of my drawings. A lot of colours remain in my memory and I enjoy choosing and mixing up colours. But I need help with the painting process.

In Jim’s words, "I enjoy experimenting with colour according to how I feel, and the inspiration for my work comes from deep inside."
