About the Artist:
Ovsanna is active in environmental and animal welfare issues, from the protection of wild spaces, wildlife and habitats to the care of domestic animals in her native Armenia and around the world.

In one series Ovsanna beautifully captures the world of the insect – alien, curious, intriguing, or scary – most do not see the beauty in the insect, leaving it to reside in the ignorance of people's lack of true observation. By placing these particular insects in the environs of the flower, the artist is setting up a parallel. The viewer is forced to reconsider the very concept of beauty.

Artist's Statement:
It is a wise man looking out of the balcony. When I look at it, I feel that all the space energy is inside that little creature. It is some kind of micro cosmos. The whole space enclosed in one little creature.
