Martin Deschamps is one of the best known and appreciated pop stars in Québec today. Martin exemplifies
energy, drive, commitment and most importantly, tremendous talent.
This award winning singer, songwriter and artist was named best vocalist in Québec’s “L’Empire
des futures stars” competition. Martin’s first album “Comme je Suis” sold over
75,000 copies, spawned three hit singles and three Félix Awards nominations: best new artist, best
rock album and best single “Quand”. His second album Différent was recorded live and
earned him the coveted Félix Award for Performance of the Year by a songwriter-performer.
“Vérité” from his album “Le Désert” spent five weeks at #1 on
Québec’s pop charts. Martin appears regularly on television and radio and performs numerous
concerts throughout Quebec.
In addition to his highly successful writing, performing and recording career, Martin was one of the
contributing artists to the award-winning sound track of the Movie “Boys IV”. He participated
in La Veritable histoire du petit chaperon rouge, the made-in-Québec French dub of the American
animated movie, “Hoodwinked”; and has hosted a 16 part documentary series Cross-Country
Caméra on Canal D in Québec, in which he also sings the original music.
For several years Martin has been the official spokesman for Québec’s Week of the Disabled
and regularly performs in primary and secondary schools throughout Québec. He is a Rock ’n roll star
