Afi-Tiombe Kambon

Afi-Tiombe is an actor and story-teller. Her presentations hold audiences
spellbound. As an amputee as a result of cancer at a very young age,
Afi-Tiombe's stories often include characters with a disability. Her goal
is to "display what can be lost by treating people with disabilities as
non-persons, and what can be gained by integrating those with disabilities
into our communities as equals".
Afi-Tiombe Kambon's passion for disability, African-American history and
drama all come together into dazzling one-woman performances that both
entertain and enlighten.
As part of Abilities Arts Festival 2005, Afi-Tiombe Kambon was a featured
performer at the festival's evening gala held at the Glenn Gould Studio
and during the festival was an active panel participant. Afi-Tiombe also
performed at the 2006 Children’s Festival "In Celebration of Our Children
and Youth".
