Gord Paynter

It wasn't until after he lost his eyesight because of diabetes, that Gord
Paynter realized his dream of becoming a professional comic. Gord tours
throughout North America performing as both a stand-up comic and a
motivational speaker.
Drawing from his own life experiences, he talks about the new challenges
blindness brought to his life and how he managed to overcome them. Paynter
combines his original brand of humour with emotional, hard-hitting reality.
Gord has been featured at the international comedy festival Just For Laughs
in Montreal, and has appeared on The Comedy Network's Open Mike With Mike
Bullard, Club 54, and CBC's Fifth Estate and The Nature Of Things With
David Suzuki.
As part of Abilities Arts Festival 2005, Gord Paynter was a featured
performer in the festival's Matinee Series.
