Alan Shain

Alan Shain's comedy has attitude. With a sarcastic edge, Alan blends comedy
with commentary. He uses humour to expose the absurdity of everyday life
experiences. He blends comedy with a strong sense of honesty and truth and
attacks stereotypical attitudes towards people with disabilities.
Alan Shain has received international acclaim touring extensively across
North America, Australia and Bermuda. He holds the honour of being the only
Canadian artist to be invited to the 2000 Paralympics Arts Festival in Sydney,
Australia.
As part of Abilities Arts Festival 2005, Alan Shain performed at the festival's
opening ceremonies, as well as to a full-house of children and youth with
disabilities at "In Celebration of our Children and Youth". During the festival
Alan was also an active panel participant.
