Now in its fifth year, IN CELEBRATION OF OUR CHILDREN AND YOUTH is an exciting, full-day event that provides children and youth with disabilities an opportunity to see and experience first-hand the wonder and enjoyment of disability arts and culture.
IN CELEBRATION OF OUR CHILDREN AND YOUTH is a positive event that acknowledges strengths, recognizes and respects disabilities and introduces school-aged children to the possibilities that await them.
As part of this exciting event we are once again inviting teachers, principals, parents and students from across Ontario to submit work to the Abilities Arts Festival’s.
In Celebration of Our Children and Youth will exhibit photography and video created by students. All submissions must be received by September 18, 2009 and a selection of submissions will be on display both during the festival and beyond.

THE 2009 LINE-UP
Performers for In Celebration of Our Children and Youth include magical storyteller Sheila Boyd, amazing drummer Jason Dennis, renowned popstar Martin Deschamps, an impressive musical group from Keys To The Studio and wonderful mime artist Chris Welsh. This group of diverse and creative performers will provide the students with a fun-filled day of inspiring performances. Click on each of their names to learn more about these amazing performers.
REGISTRATION
The program runs from 10am until approximately 2.15pm and lunch is provided. Teachers can choose the day they prefer and space will be allotted on a first come first serve bases (space is limited):
