COLLAGES/TAPESTRY
Collages can come in many forms.
Students can draw, choose personal or magazine photographs, use scrap pieces of fabric,
select patterned designs from wall paper books or other sources that are then cut into
various sizes and shapes, perhaps mounted on firmer paper, and then randomly affixed
on a single background piece of material to create a wonderful collage of images.
In all instances, a wide range of materials and backgrounds can be used. This will
result in a vast range of hangings from the traditional fabric type quilts to multi-media
collages using media (print, celluloid, photos etc) and/or reused and recycled materials.
